Competitive Manufacturing Trainer & Assessor – Fulltime
Provide training services for clients in the manufacturing sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Train and Assess workplace based training programs in Competitive Manufacturing in accordance with the Training Package requirements
- Deliver training in a classroom or workplace environments and facilitate hands-on exercises, simulations, and workplace projects
- In compliance with company policies, relevant state training authorities and the Australian Quality Training Framework, collate all necessary records to ensure the company and its students meet compliance regulations
- Apply flexible learning strategies to meet the learner needs in changing learning environments
- Maintain knowledge of developments and changes to Training Package and/or accredited courses
- Maintain knowledge of OH&S, EEO and other legislative requirements to ensure ongoing compliance to vocational education and training
- In conjunction with the Learning & Development Director provide input in the development or modification to training and assessment materials
- Develop learning and assessment strategies in conjunction with the rest of the Segla training team
- Demonstrate acceptable workplace behaviours and knowledge in accordance with OH&S, EEO and other relevant company policies
- Liaise with Industry Training Advisory Boards/Skills Councils as required
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3+ years experience in manufacturing management at line manager level as a minimum
- Considerable experience within one or more of the following industries (Manufacturing, Warehousing & Logistics or Production Engineering)
- Can demonstrate knowledge and experience of Lean Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- A passion for working with people and assisting them in the development of their skills and knowledge
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAA04) qualification (Desired)
- Experience managing continuous improvement projects, leading teams and providing focused mentoring and coaching
- Experience developing training plans and associated training materials
- Dynamic approach to presentation/training at all levels of an organisation with the ability to translate concepts into practical application
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and change management skills
- Exceptional computer skills including operation of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint etc
- University Qualified (desired)
- Willing to travel as required (Must have drivers license and motor vehicle)
